Monday Night Politics

-o- Despite facing a slew of negative ads from John McCain, Sen. Barack Obama still leads in most polls. The electoral map is looking better for Democrats right now. Obama has put many "red state" in to play including: Colorado, Missouri, Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina.

-o- Joe The Plumber couldn't save John McCain's campaign. It's been almost a week since Joe Wurzelbacher - "Joe The Plumber" - was injected into this race in the last presidential debate. Turns out Joe isn't a licensed plumber. He's about as close to buying the business as I am to buying my own magazine. He also owes some back taxes. And is allegedly a relative of a member of the Keating 5.

-o- Sen. Barack Obama will be leaving the campaign trail for a few days this week to fly to Hawaii to see his suddenly ill grandmother who was released from the hospital last week.

-o- Former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama for President on Sunday. Conservatives quickly brushed it off and some have already claimed it was because they both are black. That must also be the reason that Neocon/Iraq War Promoter Ken Adelman also endorsed Obama today. Oh, wait - he's white.

-o- There have been reports out of West Virginia that voting machines have been switching votes for Democrats/Barack Obama to Republican/McCain votes. Let's hope this error gets fixed quickly.
