True Blood

Topless Tuesdays: JOE MANGANIELLO

Most of you will immediately recognize this week's man morsel from his role as Aclide Herveaux from HBO's True Blood. He is none other than Joe Manganiello.

Joe is an American actor born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1976. His parents were Italian and Armenian. Not surprising, Joe was very active in sports growing up and played varsity football and captained the volleyball team. His first big role was that of Jud Fry from Oklahoma when he was in high school.

He applied to Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and was rejected and decided instead to go to University of Pittsburgh and worked with local theaters. A year later he applied again and was one of 17 admitted.

Joe has been lucky be involved in a lot of work including Spider Man, Spider Man 3, So Notorious, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, E.R., One Tree Hill, CSI:NY, and True Blood.

He currently lives in Los Angeles with his fiancee, Audra Marie. He is also a strong supporter of Until There's A Cure, a charity fighting to bring an end to HIV/AIDS.

Fag Hag: Happy Fag Hagoween

Happy Halloween weekend my pretties (all of you ghosts and goblins and singlet wearing weirdos included)!

What have you missed this week? Frankly, I have no idea. But I DO know what I missed this week and that was a new episode of Glee. Stupid baseball. If you STILL have not seen Glee, you should use this week (and the weeks to come while the playoffs continue) to catch up.

In lieu of Glee, I was able to watch Modern Family as it aired. That show is brilliant. Cam is my favorite followed closely by Gloria. If you’re not watching well, that’s just wrong because it’s hilarious.

I am sorry to say I did not watch a single movie this week. Not even a Lifetime made for tv movie. I did however finish the book Eat, Pray, Love. Judge me all you want. I waited like 5 years after Oprah recommended it to even pick it up. So um, I am not a member of the Harpo cult. I haven’t even watched an episode of the show in years. YEARS people!

At any rate, I really enjoyed this book. I can see how it may not work for everyone but it worked for me. And I’m grateful to have read it before the movie with Julia Roberts' giant mouth hits screens.

This is for my mom – Taylor + Taylor = too cute for words!

And since we still have 7 - yes 7! months until True Blood returns I must enjoy what I can.

Also? I’m dressing as Sookie Stackhouse for Halloween! Not even kidding. I am totally entertained by my costume choice. Now if only I could convince that special someone to agree to be Tara. Please? What if I promise to find you your own version of Eggs?

FAG HAG: Week In Review

I feel like this week was light in gossip. Do you feel this way too?

Sure, stuff happened. It always does, but I was not feverishly working my way through gossip. I like to work at a pace described as feverish. Nevertheless, here are the highlights:

Ellen is the new Paula. Does anyone really care about this show anymore? Sorry, mom. Does anyone other than my mother care about this show anymore?

I find Ellen Degeneres sort of endearing and sort of annoying. I heart her wife. Portia was on Arrested Development and I would love to be in the middle of a Jason Bateman/Portia DeRossi sandwich. I’m just saying…

You may know that I love Ted Casablanca of E! Online’s the Awful Truth. He is a fag, I am a hag. 1 + 1=2.

His Blind Vices are the best. Check out the latest -full of intrigue and gay-scandal.

Oh cruel, cruel world…this Sunday marks the season finale of True Blood. I will be drinking Bloody Mary’s and sobbing. If you don’t yet understand why, check out my Tuesday picture. It’s all about Eric. I don’t care what you say Bill-lovers - Eric trumps Bill.

Thanks to Patrick for sending this video our way I’m not sure what to make of this, but I love that Nadal sort of reaches out to the fan as he’s been taken away.

Fag Hag: Week In Review

Friday Friday Friday! It’s the Fag Hag Week In Review and I know you’ve all been waiting…

First, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the passing of Ted Kennedy. I think this commentary sums it up nicely.

A moment of silence, observed.

We now return to our regularly scheduled gossip and debauchery.

Please check out the following. It just proves why you MUST love Anderson Cooper. And no, I’m not referring to those persistent gay rumors… No, I refer to this video.

What would a Fag Hag post be without a reference to True Blood? It wouldn’t be – hello?! This post is not however about what is MINE (aka vampire Eric)– and I will fight a b*tch for him (I’m talking to you JOY). Instead it is about the upcoming introduction of the Vampire Queen, played by none other than Evan Rachel Wood. And to quote Christy (who will soon be a contributor!) “This is one of those things that seems so right, it's almost wrong that it did not happen from the beginning.”

And to sweeten the pot, she’s a queer vampire queen. Good gawd! Check it out!

Do you twitter? If not, you should start if only to vote YES on the creation of Harvey Milk Day.

Do you watch Gossip Girl? I don’t. But I do read gossip sites (too many) and thought you might be interested in the following, Chuck Bass kissing a boy, thanks Ausiello.

Enjoy your weekend, and to repeat my previous request – comment now and comment often!

P.S. Amy G. reminded me that though I did not give the Time Traveler’s Wife a good review, not even while watching it, I did cry. I did, she handed me tissues while I muttered about how stupid the story was. There, I said it.

FAG HAG: Blood, Beatings & Weddings - Oh My!

Ms. Amy is serving you up a big ole piece of Fag Hag pie! Enjoy!

Hollerrrr. It’s Wednesday. Typically that means I'm halfway through the grind, but since I now have the HBO, the blow is less intense because I got to watch the new episode of True Blood a few days ago.

So, let’s get this party started!

Michael Vick has a job. F#ck him. F*ck the Eagles. Oh, sorry Queens – he’s a football player. The Eagles are the team from Philadelphia. He’s a disgusting, horrible human being who was convicted of animal cruelty. Dog fighting. I will say no more because really, I’ve already given this disgusting douche bag too much space.

True Blood = bliss. Eric in bed. Sure, it was with Sookie, but it was worth it.

I am proud of my mayor. Kudos to you Tom Barrett!

KStew + RPattz = Robsten. Do these photos prove it?

I saw two movies this weekend.
a) The Time Traveler’s Wife and though Rachel McAdams is near perfection – seriously, she is so beautiful, the movie was crap. No, I didn’t read the book. I’m sure if I had my review would be more vehemently negative. Avoid. Unless you like to look at Rachel McAdams or think it’s worth $10 to see Eric Bana’s ass (it’s not, btw).

b) (500) Days of Summer = excellent. Charming, funny…a really great role for Joseph Gordon Levitt. He is adorable.

And lastly my friend Melissa is getting’ hitched this Friday. It’s the final countdown…
