In just six days Americans will head to the polls to vote - well, that is if they don't listen to these celebrities that don't want you to.

Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Scarlett Johannson, Harrison Ford, Shia Labeouf, Borat, Justin Timberlake and many other seemingly intelligent stars have a message for you: Don't Vote!

Welcome to the very first edition of Fags, On Film.

You may be asking yourself what exactly is Fags, On Film or, perchance, you might be thinking..."Oh, please...how original!" Though the title may lead you to believe that there will be more than one fag talking about film, chances are it's just me. But, you know I love surprises so mayhaps (yes, that's maybe and perhaps) I'll bring along a guest fag occasionally.

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS
I heard some initial buzz about this film during the holidays and since it was based on the life of a Milwaukee man I figured I should check it out. It also didn't hurt that Will Smith was in it.

Will Smith does a pretty good job as Chris Gardner - a brilliant man with a ton of bad luck and not nearly enough money. The real show stealer here though is Jaden Smith - Will Smith's real-life son - playing Christopher Gardner, Chris Gardner's son. The duo have great synergy together and you can't help but continually think how cute Christopher (Jaden Smith) is. That kid has got some real talent and it won't be long before he trades his Captain America doll for an Oscar.

The drawback of this film? If you are depressed or have thoughts about suicide do not see this film as you could fall into a depression so low there is no bringing you back. One might even contemplate slowing killing themselves -using blunt objects - as you are experience the pitfalls the characters endure throughout the movie. Besides bringing me down - A LOT - the film was great. And, if you can make it to the end without breaking out the Prozac or Valium, you should enjoy it.

All in all the film was pretty good. I started reaching for the medicine bottles half-way through but since they were so far away I chose to reach for my glass of wine instead.

My recommendation: Netflix It.
